Becas Santander for MIT Leading Digital Transformation scholarship program, which is part of Becas Santander Digital Skills, will award 2,500 scholarships in its first phase to students coming from 14 countries in the Americas and Europe, including the United States, Germany, and the United Kingdom. Interested parties will be eligible for a Santander scholarship in collaboration with MIT Professional Education.

To whom is this scholarship program directed?

In this call, those students who are studying the last two years of their degree program or who are pursuing a master’s degree at a university or study center will be able to participate. Also, those who have graduated in the last five years from the date of the formalization of the call for Santander for MIT Leading Digital Transformation scholarship program are eligible to apply. Young people from the following countries will be able to participate: Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Germany, Mexico, Peru, Poland, Portugal, Puerto Rico, Spain, Uruguay, USA, and the United Kingdom.

Requirements

The selection criteria for allocating scholarships are:

  • Be of legal age.

  • Fill out the registration form.

  • Complete the selection questionnaire that can be found on the platform.

  • Be in the final two years of earning a degree from an institution of higher education or have graduated from an institution of higher education within the last five years. Applicants are welcome regardless of their area of study.

  • Provide either the GPA of the previous academic year, in the case of students who are currently in their last two years of a degree, or the final undergraduate GPA for students who have graduated or are presently in masters programs. GPAs from undergraduate or graduate programs from any of the universities or educational centers in the countries mentioned above are valid.

  • Choose the language in which you want to complete the program: English or Spanish.

  • Have a C1 level of English, for English-language programs.

  • Complete a personal motivation letter if requested via email

The scholarship consists of two phases:

Phase I: Recipients of 2,500 Becas Santandar scholarships will take the 5-week Becas Santander – MIT Professional Education Leading Digital Transformation. They will receive a thorough introduction to cutting-edge technologies in the fields of artificial intelligence (AI), blockchain, cloud computing, cybersecurity, and the Internet of Things (IoT). They will also work on perfecting the interpersonal skills necessary to get these technologies implemented. Participants who successfully complete this program and meet the necessary requirements will receive a digital certificate from MIT Professional Education.

Phase II: 300 additional scholarships will be granted to the individuals who, among the 2,500 participants, stand out most in the Leading Digital Transformation program. These individuals will be invited to complete one of the following MIT Professional Education 8-week Open Programs:

  • Blockchain: Disruptive technology (taught in English or Spanish)

  • Cloud & DevOps: Continuous Transformation (taught in English or Spanish)

  • Machine Learning: From Data to Decisions (taught in English or Spanish)

The contents of this program are divided into three modules:

Module 1: Cultural Awareness
Module 2: Leadership in Innovation
Module 3: Digital Transformation

Participants who successfully pass the program will receive a digital certificate from MIT Professional Education. Also, the scholarship recipients may become part of the selection process for professional internships or recruitment by Banco Santander.
