Writing Lab has the mission of assigning highly trained published academic authors to professors at Tecnológico de Monterrey to assist them in achieving their goals
Writing Lab is a new initiative of Tecnológico de Monterrey that is dedicated to the development of the culture of research in educational innovations and to the enhancement of the academic production of the faculty members at the institution.
A part of TecLabs, the department of educational innovation of Tecnológico de Monterrey, Writing Lab has the mission of assigning highly trained published academic authors to professors at Tecnológico de Monterrey to assist them in achieving their goals in enhancing academic performance.
A team of expert authors works hand in hand with researchers to ensure that developments and innovations in different disciplines are successfully translated into academic productions including books, book chapters, journal papers, and conference proceedings.
Writing lab technically and financially supports the researchers not only by providing expert assistance in the process of publication but also by providing budget for attending SCOPUS-indexed conferences and publishing articles in ISI-indexed open access journals.
The main services provided by Writing Lab are as follows:
- Assisting professors in providing a background literature search to assess the novelty of their works.
- Reviewing the strategy and results to estimate the suitability of the data for publication in intended journals.
- Suggesting alternative journals that might increase the chance of publication.
- Co-authoring articles with the authors or advising them on the process of effective writing based upon international standards.
- Thorough assessment of the manuscripts to ensure they meet the requirements of high quality publication.
- Sponsoring authors with English translation and editing services.
- Sponsoring authors with an especial budget dedicated to conferences.
- Sponsoring authors with an especial budget dedicated to open-access publications.
