Methodology

The methodology considers five criteria related to the employability of graduates:

1. Employer reputation

2. Alumni Outcomes

3. Partnerships with Employers per Faculty

4. Employer-Student Connections

5. Graduate employment rate

Employer reputation (30%). Employers identify those universities from which they obtain the most innovative, effective and prepared graduates.

Alumni Outcomes (25%). Analyze more than 30,0000 of the world's most successful, innovative, creative, wealthy, entrepreneurial and philanthropic people to determine which university is producing most world-changing individuals.

Partnerships with Employers per Faculty (25%). This indicator consists of two parts; First, he uses Elsevier's Scopus database to establish universities that are successfully collaborating with global companies to produce transformative and citable research. The second part considers the associations related to job placement of students that were reported by universities and validated by the QS research team.

Employers-Students Connection (10%). Adds the number of employers actively present on college campuses for twelve months to support motivated students to establish a network and obtain information, increasing the opportunity for students to do internships or participate in research. The participation of employers can be in career fairs, organizing presentations of the company or any other self-promotion activity.

Graduate employment rate (10%). This indicator measures the proportion of graduates who obtained a part-time or full-time job within 12 months of graduation. It takes into consideration the rate of each institution and the average of the country where they are, so the ability of a university to promote employability will be affected by the economic performance of their country.

Tecnológico de Monterrey

Tecnológico de Monterrey stood out by occupying the 13th position worldwide in the 5th criteria: employability rate; position 18 in Connection Employers-Students; and the 31st position in outstanding graduates.

It also says that graduates have an excellent reputation and that their skills and competencies are attractive to the best companies.

"It is a source of pride for Tec to be a platform for successful graduates, innovators, and entrepreneurs who manage to develop professionally anywhere in the world, 75 years after its foundation, " said Salvador Alva. This achievement, he added, is proof of this, that "graduates have a great reputation and that their skills and competencies are attractive to the best companies."

The link that Tecnológico de Monterrey makes with companies, through different centers and departments such as the Life and Career Center, is a crucial element in achieving this position. Promoting talent and opportunities are generated by linking with employers, as well as through the development and monitoring of student competencies.
