Success Academy, New York City’s largest charter school network, was founded in 2006 with the goal to provide exceptional, world-class public education to children from all kinds of backgrounds.
This month, the charter school network launched a new online platform to expand its project sharing its model with more than 15,000 U.S. teachers, principals, superintendents, and policy makers.
The Success Academy Education Institute is a free, open source platform and online resource for planning, managing, and executing the work of teaching. The online platform offers the charter network’s literacy curriculum for kindergarten through fourth grade.
“We are sharing exactly what has made our schools so effective, so that others can be faster and better at replicating that success,” said Eva Moskowitz, founder and CEO of Success Academy. “Our Ed Institute is designed to help educators all across the country give children the opportunities that only a great education can provide.”
The Education Institute is launching with the release of Success Academy’s THINK Literacy curriculum for elementary schools. THINK Literacy provides teachers with how-to videos, planning templates, reading lists and teaching techniques on how to engage students and develop a love of reading, while building essential critical thinking skills.
