The Faculty of Psychology, Education and Sport Sciences Blanquerna-Universitat Ramon Llull, the Jesuïtes Educació Foundation and Col·legi Montserrat organize the second edition of this Symposium, whose main objective is to show the experiences that are transforming education in Barcelona. The Symposium aims to contribute, from our reality, to position Barcelona as the intelligent city it is, an interesting and active city, but also as one of the cities in which education is progressing faster. Barcelona, for a few days, will be presented as the capital of educational transformation.
Besides exploring several issues associated with change and innovation in education, participants will learn directly from transformational experiences and will be able to study their applicability. Participants will visit some of the most interesting models of state, private and charter schools, and also take part in transformational experiences at individual schools or school networks. The different educational levels will be explored: early childhood education, primary education, and secondary/high school education.
The programme will be an invitation to come into contact with the experience of transformation, live through the methods, and dialogue with the agents of change and pupils, to collect the most interesting ideas. In addition, we have also programmed spaces where participants will be able to discuss and debate change among themselves and with experts. Another objective is also to develop networking to start a collaborative network for innovation and the integral education of the person.
Who may attend the Symposium?
This Symposium is intended primarily for school principals and pedagogical heads, educational consortia members, teachers and researchers from universities, foundations and companies related to educational innovation.
